Image Test

I want to be able to add images in my blog posts, so I'm testing it here to get it working right...

Good, it works! Please be aware though that you won't be able to use images yourself; only I can. I dread to think of the abuse otherwise, either of shock images or inane memes.

The reason that we feel the need to post long questions differs from person to person. Some of us just have a lot to say, others just want to be clear with what they mean and yet more of us simply enjoy the site and want to fit in with the majority of the members.

If what you meant was why does the site want long questions? that simply comes down to the creator of the site created it for likeminded people and he is someone who likes to use long questions.

And finally if you meant why do we have the minimum amount of characters? The purpose is so people can’t simply make comments such as LOL or OMG which is the type of comment that we try to avoid.

Well, if someone does the whole shock images or memes, they can always just get a ban. In theory shock images and memes are no different from an abusive/swearing/trolling member or a stupid internet-speak member. And it is handy to be able to post screencaps of stuff sometimes (without having to mess around clicking links).

I would not want to accidentally see such an image before the person was caught, though. I've not been desensitised to such things, so they would disturb me greatly.

(And by 'such things', I totally mean memes, of course; those things are nightmare-inducing!!1)

I think the fact that we can't add images is a little bit constricting.. Maybe, if an inappropriate image is added, then a moderator can be able to "hide" it, which just means that instead of the image showing, a sentence like "This image has been hidden, due to: (state reason here)" would show.

If people want to post a picture then they can link to one through Photobucket or some other image sharing site. As Pseudolonewolf says, the potential for abuse is great. If someone did link to a shock image or meme, they would probably get rated down quickly and I would know not to bother following their link and thus saving myself having to look at whatever it was they wanted to post. Much better this way.

Well, at least you won't have to tell us completely in text, because that would get confusing. Having to check back on an earlier sentence to remember if you read it or not, or try to get the point of that sentence.

That's odd, I can't see it, just that little picture icon that shows up when the image isn't displayed. It might be just my computer, though, since Moos can see it. o_O"

EDIT: Though I refreshed and refreshed, the image didn't show up until I posted this message! -_-" Never mind what I said earlier, I can see it now.

Looks nice, but, can you also add video's to your blog posts? Just wondering...

I have absolutely no need or desire to do such a thing.

While I understand that for what you have used your blog for thus far, there would be no need of a video on your blog. You may, however, decide to make trailers for your games (or advertisements, if you haven't already) and show it on your blog. You may decide that, as a teaser, you could show short videos of future game mechanics, without spoiling the plot.
My point is that you may one day decide to use other mediums of displaying things on your blog, and that if you create compatibility for such things as videos now, you may thank yourself later when you suddenly find the desire to create a video for some reason.
As a side note, writing this comment makes me wonder whether you created the ability to add sound files. While both of these have their own respective sections, id est, youtube and the music section, perhaps high priority amazingly important things (such as sounds and videos) could appear on the blog?

...Or I could just spend five minutes adding the ability to add such things to blog posts if I ever decide to add them, which is highly unlikely since I don't have the skill or interest to make videos of any kind. There's absolutely no reason to do something I don't want or need, right now, since I've got loads of other stuff to do, and it's not like I'll suddenly be unable to edit the code later.
