I would reset to elementary school before I skipped two grades and prevent myself from performing well on my aptitude tests so I wouldn't have to skip grades. The reason for this is because I hated having to go to middle school when my friends were still in 4th grade. I hate that I experienced high school as an outcast of sorts, 2-3 years younger than just about everybody. I wish I could start college older so I could enjoy what college life has to offer.

I had lost contact with several of my best friends because of this and it became increasingly difficult to make new friends. If I could go back to that time, I would have done things differently and perhaps have enjoyed my childhood much more.

I would not like to use a reset button at all, as I do not regret anything of all that I have done, and do not suffer from nostalgic feelings. I believe that the present is the best time to be at.
Maybe, by the time I grow old, I may feel different.

Our experiences make us who we are. If we prevent those things from happening, would we still be who we are today? I personally believe that we should not and can not interfere with our own personal timeline.

For myself I really wouldn't like the idea of resetting my life at all, I mean especially if I was nearing the end of my life and all of my close family and friends had passed away.
I just don't think I would like having to relive certain memories again knowing what the outcome should be but then I change it somehow and then it's completely different. I would imagine that I'd be a very depressed man, especially if at any point my life could be cchanged because I myself or someone else who had resetted had altered it and something horrible happens.

To be honest, If I was given the choice at the end of my life, I'd likely prefer oblivion, or at least a reincarnation system similar to the one described in the Mardek series (where reincarnation temporarily suppresses all memories of your previous life). Reliving all of my life doesn't hold any appeal to me, since it seems rather boring and tedious to sit through the same experiences, and struggle again up the social and economic "ladders", even with the advantages of increased experience and knowledge of future events.

If I restarted to the beginning of my life with my current knowledge, I'd likely be a social outcast due to extreme "precociousness" at such an early age, and would likely lack any meaningful social interaction with anyone I could call my peer. Talking with people at my age when I reincarnated would also prove difficult, as while our knowledge/intellect may match up, I would inevitably be treated differently/delicately/condescendingly due to my age. For the same reasons, it would be difficult to find a partner if I wanted to, let alone one near my age.

There is also the problem of the feeling of helplessness, as even now, in my short time on earth, I know of several disasters that could be theoretically prevented if I traveled back in time. However, the likelihood of actually having any effect on certain events (such as terrorist plots) would be slim to none. At best, I would be laughed off and given little attention, and at worst, I would be accused of conspiring with terrorists myself.

Furthermore, reincarnating with my memories intact would send me to a world in a past where many of our current technological advances have not yet occurred, and leave me frustrated and nostalgic for items of convenience/entertainment that would not yet be available for many years to come. Most games would seem slow, tedious, and ugly to me, accustomed to the technology we have now, and even when technology catches up to the time when I reincarnated, most media would likely develop in much the same way as in my previous life, leaving me bored beyond belief at entertainment I had already experienced before.

If the reset could be shared with someone else if they clapsed their hands together while the button was pressed, and there was a "go back to the present" button that's extremely rare and expensive, I would use it to help fix others mistakes (that wouldn't put the world in a state of terror) so he or she would be happy. But, if he didn't like their current life, and wanted more things and riches, I would do that to show that it would be a mistake. When I came back to their new present, I would swipe their reset button from him or her and throw it at them, so they could live that time again, without fixing their mistakes. Either way, the person would be more satisfied after it was over.
