(So much for replies in this section not being objective analyses and advice...)

Anyway! I can very much relate to this, as I too am one of those people who doesn't feel like I fit in with anyone and struggle greatly to find the sorts of people who'll talk with me about the things that I care about... I don't keep up with modern music at all, and I hate how... *pop culturey* some people - most people? - can be because it all goes over my head, makes me feel like an alien.

Perhaps I'm fortunate in that in school, I was very much in the 'rejects' group and the nerdy guys I was 'friends' with weren't into all the cultural rubbish that the more popular or 'normal' people seem to talk about constantly. But it's not like I got along with these people; even in the group of weirdos, I felt out of place because while we all liked video games, they talked about the sort of games I hated and didn't care for the games I liked. Or the music that I liked, or anything like that... But anyway!

I'm 24 now, so maybe it's not reassuring to hear from me that I've not yet had success finding what I'm looking for. o_O
Despite looking actively and hard... And that I'm still feeling like life is too big and scary and I'll DIE ALONE AND MISERABLE AND-

...But I didn't have any experience with university or college since I never really properly went. I feel things would have been much better if I had.
From what I've heard, it's supposedly more open to generally intellectual and thoughtful sorts of people, because the ones who aren't don't bother going... but then I've also heard that it can be a non-stop drinking and sex romp, so I wonder.
Even just finding *one* close friend amongst the hundreds would surely be great, though, and it doesn't seem unlikely!

Anyway, I very much know what it's like to feel so apart from others and like you won't survive the real world; I feel for you! D:

My own unusual solution is to try and make websites that might draw similar people together, people like me, but even that's not been successful so far...

It's likely that you'd cope better than me, though, if you go to college; hopefully you will find what you are looking for! I just wish I could give my own 'success story' to say it'll all turn out fine... Hmm.

Do you have any internet friends or anything? I've found that people can make better friendships online because it's easier to find people more like them... I met M  Firequill online and it was wonderful because we had so much in common, and it was the first time in my life that I'd experienced a true connection with someone who really *cared* about what I said... I think I was 18 or 19 when we first met, on deviantART.
But maybe text on a screen wouldn't be satisfying enough for you...!1

I had the same problems with CS5, so it seems odd that it'd be this... I'm using version 12.something of CS6, though, so I can't imagine it'd hurt to update. I'll at least give it a try!

If there's a problem with undoing, and this split motion thing works in the long term for you (it doesn't for me), then I wonder if it is just my computer causing bugs and corruption or something, making the file act weird as it is, but not affecting future edits on a not-buggy computer.

I tried this already a while ago, and it created an instant difference, but it didn't seem to resolve the problem in the long term when I tried doing more animation.

Yes, that's the problem that I've been getting myself... However, if you rotate it using the Motion Editor graph or the Transform dialogue (which you can get using Ctrl+T), then it doesn't snap weirdly out of place... It's very odd.

At least it seems not to be just my computer, but I can't imagine how this would either be the intended behaviour, or an unmissed bug in more than one version!

Maybe I'll have to just use Classic Tweens instead...

(Hmm, I need to make it so that new blog posts show on the Community Hub somewhere, like before... Otherwise, I bet nobody sees the latest ones until someone comments on them like I am doing here...)

I used the term 'tweaking numbers' and not 'typing numbers' because I am aware that they don't have to be typed in, but using sliders is no better.

No, because that'd be like a year or two more work and less profit for me. I don't like the idea of releasing it as paid, shortish chapters, but other games have done the same (Sonic 4 comes to mind).

Yes, I'm aware of that and thought that I'd already mentioned it... or I at least mentioned that editing the values with the Motion Editor does work, but that's not a solution because I can't animate by tweaking numbers. It'd be like trying to draw a portrait with an Etch-a-Sketch because my pencil's broken or something. Technically possible, but not feasible and very frustrating.
The Transform window is not the same thing as the Motion Editor, but it's still the same 'tweaking numbers' problem that I have with both. The problem is related to the Free Transform tool and I'm aware of that, but not why the problem is occurring. I'm wondering whether it's something to do with my computer, and am asking on the official Flash forum about it.

I doubt I'll ever be able to escape the comparisons to Pokemon... I mean, if loads of people thought that *MARDEK* was a rip-off of Pokemon - which they did - then there's no hope that anything that I do with Miasmon will prevent people from saying the same about it.

Still, I suppose one extra thing to set it apart from Pokemon will be a generally good thing anyway.
